NEW COACH ORIENTATION PROGRAM

The Michigan High School Athletic Association will sponsor a one day orientation program for first year coaches of both junior high and senior high school interscholastic sports teams. All new coaches, paid or volunteer, are invited to participate on Wednesday, July 31, 2002 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. All sessions will be held at DeWitt High School. A $20 registration fee will cover all costs including refreshments, lunch, and materials.

The one-day session will include a variety of topics including: MHSAA regulations, risk minimization, coaching psychology, practice planning and structure, sexual harassment, chemical health, conditioning and sports injuries, and sportsmanship issues.

Please fill out the registration form and return to the MHSAA with a check for the appropriate amount.
