The MHSAA will use this open position, along with the possible reorganization of existing staff responsibilities, to address the following areas of need:
- Primary Staff Needs: Officials’ Services, Sport Administration & Supervision, Health & Safety, Insurance
- Secondary Staff Needs: Coaches’ Education, Student Leadership
Note that primary and secondary sport(s) responsibilities of this position will be flexible given the strengths of the top candidate in light of the best fit with current staff sport responsibilities.
The MHSAA will provide a salary and benefits package comparable with those of full-time school administrators in Michigan. It is expected that the assistant director will work many evenings and weekends and will reside in mid-Michigan.
