5 Vie for Best Cheering Section in Michigan

Five finalists -- Frankenmuth, Grand Rapids Christian, Petoskey, Reese and Rockford -- have been selected for the Michigan High School Athletic Association’s inaugural “Battle of the Fans,” which will recognize the top student cheering section from among member schools and culminate in a video presentation including all five finalists during this season’s Girls and Boys Basketball Finals at Michigan State’s Breslin Center.

Our Scoreboard = Your Scoreboard

We've undertaken a pretty major endeavor at the MHSAA this winter.

At this moment on Dec. 6, we have roughly 70 percent of all boys and girls basketball games scheduled for this winter entered into our system -- with the goal of keeping an up-to-date record of every schedule, every score and every league's standings.

Geoff Kimmerly

Geoff Kimmerly joined the Michigan High School Athletic Association in September 2011 after nearly 12 years as Prep Sports Editor at the Lansing State Journal. His work also has appeared in USA Today and newspapers across the state, and he served as a state voter for The Associated Press.
