EAST LANSING, Mich. – Feb. 13 –  The first live streaming event of the winter sports season will take place this weekend, as the MHSAA Network begins to ramp up its coverage of Michigan High School Athletic Association post-season tournaments.  The week ahead will also see the MHSAA Network Game Night crew visit Calihan Hall in Detroit for the Girls and Boys Basketball title games in the Detroit Public School League tournament.

The Upper Peninsula Swimming and Diving Finals will be live streamed on the MHSAA.tv and FoxSportsDetroit.com websites this weekend from Sault Ste. Marie High School, with the Diving Finals beginning at 2:30 on Friday (Feb. 17), and the Swimming Finals on Saturday (Feb. 18) at 11 a.m.

Coming up on cable this week will be the MHSAA Game Night presentation of last Friday's (Feb. 10) boys basketball game in the Southwestern Athletic Conference between Bloomingdale and Fennville, a show will feature the pre-game Hall of Fame induction ceremonies at Fennville High School for Wes Leonard, a standout multi-sport athlete who died folloing a basketball game last March.  The game will be shown on Comcast Channel 900 on Wednesday (Feb. 15), Saturday and Sunday (Feb. 19) at 7 p.m.  FOX Sports Detroit-PLUS will show the game on Saturday at Noon, and the game will be shown again on Monday (Feb. 20) at 8 p.m. on FOX Sports Detroit.

The MHSAA Network cameras were also on hand last week to capture in incredible Clarkston at Troy boys basketball game, a contgest in which Troy's James Young scored 49 points and Clarkston's Nick Tatu poured in 47 in the Colts' 79-74 win over the visiting Wolves.  That game will be shown on Wednesday at 9:30 p.m.  Not to be outdone, Chelsea claimed a hard-fought 45-40 girls basketball win last week at Monroe to maintain its lead in the Southeastern Conference's White Division.  That game will be shown Thursday at 8 p.m.
