EAST LANSING, Mich. -- March 17 -- Visitors to the 1998 Michigan High School Athletic Association Boys Basketball Finals at the Breslin Student Events Center in East Lansing can easily find their way between the arena and downtown easily by riding the City of East Lansing's Entertainment Express.
CATA bus trolleys, bearing the Entertainment Express signs, will run continuously on Friday, March 27, from 4:30 p.m. until 10:30 p.m.; and on Saturday, March 28, from 2 until 10 p.m. The boarding locations for the Breslin Center is on the Kalamazoo Street side of the arena. Trolly stops in downtown East Lansing are at Beggar's Banquet and the Evergreen Grill on Abbott Road; the Marriott Hotel on MAC Avenue; the Colorful Parking Ramp in the 400 block of Albert Avenue; the Peanut Barrel Restaurant at 521 E. Grand River Avenue; and the Harrison Roadhouse at 720 Michigan Avenue.
The cost of the trolley is 50 cents one way. Correct change is required. Student fares do not apply to the Entertainment Express.
This is the fourth year of the trolley at the finals, and City of East Lansing officials say use has increased each year.
"The City of East Lansing encourages everyone to park and visit downtown East Lansing and take the convenient Entertainment Express to and from Breslin during the tournament," said Ron Springer of the City of East Lansing.
