Media should always contact site managers in advance for all District, Regional and Quarterfinal events, and for Semifinals and Finals in events not listed on this page. Links to application forms for credentials for individual Finals tournaments will be posted as they approach. You may not apply for Finals credentials until after the Regional round of play is completed for a sport.

By submitting a credentials request, the requesting party agrees to all of the MHSAA Terms & Conditions for media credential usage.

All requests must be made by the Sports Editor, Sports Director, Photo Editor or Assignment Desk.

No credential requests are guaranteed. The MHSAA reserves the right to deny any request for any reason. The MHSAA does not issue credentials for freelance writers, freelance or commercial photographers, or recruiting services. The MHSAA will not honor walk-up requests for credentials at Finals venues. If your outlet already has an MHSAA Finals Pass for the 2008-09 school year, it is not necessary to apply for most events. The exceptions are Football, Individual Wrestling, Girls Basketball and Boys Basketball, where all outlets must apply.

For Finals Tournaments - Those media without MHSAA Finals Passes must apply for the following events:
- L.P. Cross Country - Nov. 1 - Deadline October 30, 4 p.m.
- L.P. Boys Soccer- Nov. 1 - Deadline October 30, 4 p.m.
- Girls Volleyball- Nov. 20-22 - Deadline November 19, 4 p.m.
- Football - Nov. 28-29 - Deadline November 24, 4 p.m.
- Girls Competitive Cheer - March 6-7 - Deadline March 5, 4 p.m.
- Team Wrestling - March 6-7 - Deadline March 5, 4 p.m.
- Individual Wrestling - March 12-14 - Deadline March 9, 4 p.m.
- Ice Hockey - March 12-14 - Deadline March 12 - Noon
- Girls Basketball - March 19-21 - Deadline March 18, 4 p.m.
- Boys Basketball - March 26-28 - Deadline March 25, 4 p.m.
- L.P. Track & Field - May 30 - Deadline May 28, 4 p.m.
- Girls & Boys Lacrosse - June 6 - Deadline June 4, 4 p.m.
- Baseball-Softball - June 12-13 - Deadline June 11, 4 p.m.
- L.P. Girls Soccer - June 13 - Deadline June 11, 4 p.m.

For all other events, apply directly through the host tournament manager or present other appropriate form of media identificaiton when requested. You can find the information using the Spring Tournament Information forms above.

Finals Media Housing Applications -- Spring Tournaments -- All requests must be made by the Sports Editor, Sports Director, Photo Editor or Assignment Desk.

The MHSAA will provide Finals housing applications for the following events:

- Football - November 28-29 (Application period - November 17 to November 24, 4 p.m.)
- Team Wrestling - March 6-7 (Application period - February 26 to March 2, 4 p.m.)
- Girls Basketball - March 19-21 (Application period - March 13 to March 18, 4 p.m.)
- Boys Basketball - March 26-28 (Application period - March 19 to March 25, 4 p.m.)
- Baseball-Softball - June 13-14 (Application period - June 8 to June 9, 4 p.m.)

Finals Press Notes

The MHSAA no longer produces printed copies of press notes for Finals tournaments. Instead, we will place the same information into PDF files for you to download and save on your laptop to use for reference while covering the games.
