The final MHSAA girls tournaments of the fall, Volleyball and Lower Peninsula Swimming and Diving, came to an end Saturday. Three of seven champions were crowned for the first time, and Second Half had coverage of them all. 

Volleyball

Two new, two returning: Macomb Dakota in Class A and Lake Odessa Lakewood in Class B finished Saturday with their first MHSAA championships. Monroe St. Mary Catholic Central won its second title in three seasons, and Battle Creek St. Philip won its eighth straight in Class D. (Class A) (Class B) (Class C) (Class D)

Swimming and Diving 

Champions' wake: The Lower Peninsula Division 2 and 3 Finals saw repeat champions in Holland and Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook-Kingswood, respectively. But Holland West Ottawa won its first team title in any girls sport at the Division 1 Final. (Division 1) (Division 2) (Division 3)

Girls Golf

Aya on Fiya: The Michigan Interscholastic Golf Coaches Association named Muskegon Catholic Central senior Aya Johnson this season's Miss Golf. Johnson, who will play next season at the University of Wisconsin, defeated Lansing Catholic's Jacqueline Setas in a tie-breaker to claim the Lower Peninsula Division 4 championship at Michigan State's Forest Akers West. 3. GIRLS GOLF Dexter – the top-ranked team in Lower Peninsula Division 2 – won the Southeastern Conference Red Tournament by eight strokes to finish a league title run – Chelsea Sun Times News

4. BOYS TENNIS Ludington locked up the Coastal Conference championship with a league tournament victory – Ludington Daily News

5. BOYS SOCCER Big Rapids downed Kent City 2-1 to win the Central State Activities Association Tournament – Big Rapids Pioneer

6. BOYS SOCCER Division 4 No. 6 North Muskegon shut out Montague to clinch the West Michigan Conference title – CatchMark SportsNet

7. BOYS SOCCER Ortonville Brandon played Holly to a 2-2 draw, finishing an undefeated run through the Flint Metro League – Oakland Press

8. VOLLEYBALL Dearborn Divine Child swept Riverview Gabriel Richard to finish a perfect run through the Catholic High School League Intersectional #1 – Dearborn Press & Guide

9. BOYS SOCCER Division 3 No. 13 Traverse City St. Francis downed Division 4 top-ranked Leland 2-1 – Traverse City Record-Eagle

10. BOYS SOCCER Division 2 No. 14 Jackson defeated Brooklyn Columbia Central 5-1 in a matchup of league champions – Jackson Citizen Patriot
