Boys Basketball
Winter comes to a close: And with a flurry. Saginaw won its first MHSAA title since 2008, Lansing Sexton repeated in Class B, Flint Beecher won its first title since 1987 and Southfield Christian won its first title in school history after going 1-19 two seasons ago. Girls Soccer Semifinals 6/9 & 6/10
Division 1 No. 8 Troy scored twice over the final 16 minutes to get past Ann Arbor Skyline – Detroit News
Division 1 No. 10 Rockford advanced to its first Final in this sport with a 5-2 win over No. 7 Hartland – Grand Rapids Press
Division 2 Leah Nalichowski scored three goals to send No. 3 Bloomfield Hills Marian past No. 10 New Boston Huron 4-1 – Detroit Free Press
Division 2 Top-ranked Hudsonville Unity Christian ran its playoff shutout streak to 23 with a 2-0 win over No. 7 Grand Rapids Forest Hills Central – WOOD TV
Division 3 No. 3 Detroit Country Day edged top-ranked Goodrich 1-0 – Oakland Press
Division 3 No. 7 Grand Rapids West Catholic advanced with a 2-0 win over No. 10 Traverse City St. Francis – WZZM
Division 4 No. 9 Harbor Springs will play for a championship for the first time since 2001 thanks to a 2-1 win over No. 7 Kalamazoo Christian – Petoskey News-Review
