Jackson Lumen Christi, Flint Powers Catholic, DeWitt and Spring Lake were among those that advanced to Girls Soccer Regional Finals with wins Wednesday.

Below are highlights from their victories taken from broadcasts on MHSAA.tv. Click the headings for each to watch.

Division 3 at Williamston: Jackson Lumen Christi 2, Leslie 0

Lumen Scores Late In First Half The Titans scored both of their goals against Leslie in this Division 3 Girls Soccer Regional Semifinal in the first half. Mallory Hestwood gets the second one late in the period.

Division 3 at Williamston: Flint Powers Catholic 3, Lake Fenton 0

Sophie Scores For Powers Midway through the first half, Flint Powers Catholic picked up its first goal against Lake Fenton when Sophie Bubnar scored on a rebound.

Persistent Powers Flint Powers Catholic gets its second goal of the game against Lake Fenton early in the second half with Rachel Phillpotts taking the centering pass to score.

Bubnar On The Follow Sophie Bubnar picked up her second goal of the night for Flint Powers on a rebound.

Division 2 at Grand Rapids Forest Hills Northern: DeWitt 5, Grand Rapids Northview 1

Dawes Does It For DeWitt DeWitt's first goal came off the foot of Mackenzie Dawes in this Division 2 Girls Regional Soccer Semifinal against Grand Rapids Northview.

Bishop With The Second Panther Goal Taylor Bishop gets a breakaway on this through ball to give DeWitt a 2-0 lead.

Stephan On The Header DeWitt's third goal came off a corner kick. Danielle Stephan heads the ball into the net.

Bishop & Dawes Split The Defense Watch Mackenzie Dawes and Taylor Bishop split the Northview defense with crisp passing as Bishop gets her second goal of the game for DeWitt.

Bishop Finishes Things Off Taylor Bishop gets the fifth and final goal for DeWitt – and her third of the game – taking a pass down the middle of the field.

Northview On The Board Olivia DeShane goes to the far post with this long ball to get the only goal of the game for Grand Rapids Northview against DeWitt.

Another Championship Week on MHSAA.tv Begins with Volleyball Quarterfinals

All 16 Volleyball Quarterfinals scheduled for Tuesday (Nov. 16) will be broadcast on MHSAA.tv to kick off a busy week of Michigan High School Athletic Association tournament events also including Semifinals and Finals in volleyball, Finals in Lower Peninsula girls swimming & diving and 8-player football, and Semifinals in 11-player football.

The winners of Volleyball Quarterfinal matches will advance to this weekend’s Semifinals and Finals at Kellogg Arena in Battle Creek. Division 1 and 4 Semifinals will be played Thursday (Nov. 18), Division 2 and 3 Semifinals on Friday (Nov. 19) and all four Finals will be played Saturday (Nov. 20).

► Traverse City Christian vs. Mount Pleasant Sacred Heart – 6 p.m.

The Lower Peninsula Girls Swimming & Diving Finals will be competed at three sites, with preliminaries Friday and championships in all events Saturday. Competition begins at noon both days, and all three meets will be broadcast both days, with announcers detailing the action as well during Saturday’s championship events:

► Lower Peninsula Division 1 at Holland Aquatic Center
► Lower Peninsula Division 2 at Oakland University
► Lower Peninsula Division 3 at Calvin University

The 8-player football season concludes Saturday with championship games in both divisions at Superior Dome at Northern Michigan University. Both games will be broadcast live on MHSAA.tv – the Division 1 Final between Adrian Lenawee Christian and Suttons Bay kicks off at 11 a.m., and Division 2 between Colon and Powers North Central will begin approximately 2 p.m. Both will re-air on MHSAA media partner Bally Sports Detroit’s primary channel Nov. 25, with Division 1 at 7 p.m. and Division 2 at 10 p.m.

Bally Sports Detroit also will continue its weekly live cable TV broadcasts with Saturday’s 11-Player Division 1 Semifinal between Sterling Heights Stevenson and Belleville. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. on BSD’s primary channel, and the game also may be watched on the BSD website and app.
