MHSAA Communications Director

A bevy of basketball and ice hockey games are available this week on MHSAA.tv – most of them live –streamed by students involved in the MHSAA’s School Broadcast Program.

In its seventh year, the School Broadcast Program gives members an opportunity to showcase excellence in their schools by  creating video programming of athletic and non-athletic events, with students gaining skills in announcing, camera operation, directing/producing and graphics.

The program also gives schools the opportunity to raise money through advertising and viewing subscriptions.

All sporting events – Live or On-Demand – are available on a subscription basis only for their first 72 hours online.  They become available for free, on-demand viewing approximately 72 hours following their completion.

Here’s the schedule of School Broadcast Program events that members plan to stream this week for broadcast at MHSAA.tv.  On-Demand listings may be available as soon as one hour following an event’s completion.  (List as of Dec. 1):

Wednesday – Dec. 2

Friday – Dec. 4

Saturday – Dec. 5

Monday – Dec. 7

Tuesday – Dec. 8

Schools interested in becoming a part of the School Broadcast Program should contact John Johnson at the MHSAA Office.

This week's MHSAA.tv broadcasts captured a collection of boys basketball buzzer beaters – and we've put them together for a brief highlight reel including:

► Kyle Beebe's clinching 3-pointer in Ravenna's 64-62 win over Montague.

► Evan Douglass' overtime winner to carry Kingsley past Benzie Central 62-60, and after Benzie's Jaxon Childers had drilled a 3-pointer to tie the score.

► Levi Peruski's clincher to give Ubly a 44-42 win over Sandusky.

► Brevin Antila's last-second bucket to push Calumet past Hancock 34-32.
