After a summer of seemingly cool temperatures, Wednesday felt a lot more like what we're used to for the first weeks of August.
WILX 10 from Lansing stopped in to the MHSAA office to learn more about the model heat management policy approved by our Representative Council in March, then stopped at a football scrimmage in St. Johns to speak with some mid-Michigan officials about their efforts to prevent heat illness.

Traverse City Central doubles player Parker Berden scored his 100th career win as he and partner Austin Wieland defeated No. 1 doubles pairs from Fenton, Grand Blanc and Saginaw Heritage at the Hawks' quad – Traverse City Record-Eagle

From Saturday, Crystal Falls Forest Park won its third title in the eight-year history of the Great Eight Classic, going 14-0 against a group including five more Upper Peninsula and two Wisconsin schools – Iron Mountain Daily News
