One-on-one with Kathy McGee (CMU)
May 7, 2012
Legendary former Flint Powers Catholic girls basketball coach Kathy McGee announced in March that she'd be retiring after the last five seasons spent as an assistant with the Central Michigan University women's basketball team.
McGee finished her Flint Powers career with 599 wins -- an MHSAA career record for the sport at that time -- and four MHSAA Finals championships. CMU's Erin Mowrey gives us a rundown on all that McGee has accomplished, and also touches on the heart-tugging 1996 season that put the game in greater perspective for the Hall of Fame coach.
