Boys soccer teams moved to within one more win of the season’s final week Wednesday, and a pair of volleyball matches may end up impacting league races as that sport rolls toward the end of its regular season.
1. Boys soccer: No. 5 Byron Center got past Muskegon Reeths-Puffer 1-0 in Division 2 to advance to the Regional Final round for the first time – FOX 17
2. Volleyball: Division 2 No. 8 Ida handed honorable mention Onsted its first Lenawee County Athletic Association loss, keeping the Wildcats from clinching the league title – Adrian Daily Telegram
3. Volleyball: Traverse City Central came back after losing the first set to win the next three against Division 2 honorable mention Cadillac to give itself a chance at a possible Big North Conference title share – Traverse City Record-Eagle
4. Prep Soccer: Top-ranked Okemos scored five first-half goals on the way to a 7-4 Division 1 Regional Semifinal win over Grand Haven – Lansing State Journal
5. Prep Soccer: No. 15 Elk Rapids scored all four of its goals during the second half to come back from a one-goal deficit and defeat Gladwin 4-1 in a Division 3 Regional Semifinal – Up North Live
6. Prep Soccer: Ludington took Muskegon Orchard View to overtime before finishing a 1-0 Division 3 Regional Semifinal win – Ludington Daily News
7. Prep Soccer: Salem advanced in its Division 1 Regional with a 3-0 win over Dearborn – Observer & Eccentric
8. Prep Soccer: Melvindale advanced to a Division 2 Regional Final with a 3-1 win over Tecumseh – Southgate News-Herald
9. Prep Soccer: No. 7 Kalamazoo Hackett Catholic Prep got past rival Kalamazoo Christian 7-0 in a Division 4 Regional Semifinal – WWMT
10. Prep Soccer: No. 12 Parma Western will play in a Division 2 Regional Final thanks to a 5-2 win over Dearborn Divine Child – JTV

3. SOFTBALL No. 7 Escanaba advanced to the final week with a 3-2 Regional Final win over top-ranked Gaylord – Escanaba Daily Press
4. BASEBALL Top-ranked Ada Forest Hills Eastern defeated Petoskey and No. 19 Bay City John Glenn to earn its first trip to the Semifinals and put coach Ian Hearn over 600 career wins – Grand Rapids Press
5. SOFTBALL Stevensville Lakeshore edged Wayland 2-1 in a matchup of state poll honorable mentions to clinch a Division 2 Regional title – St. Joseph Herald-Palladium
6. SOFTBALL Onekama won its first Regional title in this sport, defeating Lake Leelanau St. Mary 13-5 in a Division 4 Regional Final – Traverse City Record-Eagle
7. BASEBALL No. 5 Standish Sterling earned its first Semifinal trip since 1976 with wins over No. 13 Houghton and Traverse City St. Francis – Bay City Times
8. BASEBALL No. 15 Battle Creek Lakeview advanced to the Division 1 Semifinals with a 7-2 win over No. 2 Northville – Battle Creek Enquirer
9. SOFTBALL No. 8 Essexville Garber edged No. 5 Frankenmuth 3-2 to clinch a Division 2 Regional title – Bay City Times
10. GIRLS SOCCER Top-ranked Williamston moved on to the Division 3 Semifinals with a 4-0 win over No. 13 Flint Powers Catholic – Lansing State Journal
