Boys soccer teams moved to within one more win of the season’s final week Wednesday, and a pair of volleyball matches may end up impacting league races as that sport rolls toward the end of its regular season.
1. Boys soccer: No. 5 Byron Center got past Muskegon Reeths-Puffer 1-0 in Division 2 to advance to the Regional Final round for the first time – FOX 17
2. Volleyball: Division 2 No. 8 Ida handed honorable mention Onsted its first Lenawee County Athletic Association loss, keeping the Wildcats from clinching the league title – Adrian Daily Telegram
3. Volleyball: Traverse City Central came back after losing the first set to win the next three against Division 2 honorable mention Cadillac to give itself a chance at a possible Big North Conference title share – Traverse City Record-Eagle
4. Prep Soccer: Top-ranked Okemos scored five first-half goals on the way to a 7-4 Division 1 Regional Semifinal win over Grand Haven – Lansing State Journal
5. Prep Soccer: No. 15 Elk Rapids scored all four of its goals during the second half to come back from a one-goal deficit and defeat Gladwin 4-1 in a Division 3 Regional Semifinal – Up North Live
6. Prep Soccer: Ludington took Muskegon Orchard View to overtime before finishing a 1-0 Division 3 Regional Semifinal win – Ludington Daily News
7. Prep Soccer: Salem advanced in its Division 1 Regional with a 3-0 win over Dearborn – Observer & Eccentric
8. Prep Soccer: Melvindale advanced to a Division 2 Regional Final with a 3-1 win over Tecumseh – Southgate News-Herald
9. Prep Soccer: No. 7 Kalamazoo Hackett Catholic Prep got past rival Kalamazoo Christian 7-0 in a Division 4 Regional Semifinal – WWMT
10. Prep Soccer: No. 12 Parma Western will play in a Division 2 Regional Final thanks to a 5-2 win over Dearborn Divine Child – JTV

2. GIRLS SOCCER Division 1 No. 5 Midland Dow got past Grand Blanc 1-0 to clinch the Saginaw Valley League title – Midland Daily News
3. GIRLS SOCCER Division 2 No. 5 Plainwell finished an outright title run in the Wolverine Conference with a 3-1 victory over Division 3 No. 14 Otsego – FOX 17
4. GIRLS SOCCER Division 2 No. 10 South Lyon East earned its first Lakes Valley Conference Tournament championship with a 2-0 victory over Walled Lake Central – Oakland Press
5. GIRLS SOCCER Division 2 No. 13 Trenton finished an outright Downriver League title run with a 3-1 win over Brownstown Woodhaven – Southgate News-Herald
6. SOFTBALL/BASEBALL Fowlerville’s Tori Briggs tied an MHSAA record with four triples in a game against Lansing Eastern, and Brighton Charyl Stockwell pitcher Aidan Liedeke just missed making the record book with 20 strikeouts over eight innings in a win over Whitmore Lake – Livingston Daily Press & Argus
7. SOFTBALL Division 4 honorable mention Rogers City split with honorable mention Indian River Inland Lakes, delivering coach Karl Grambau his 500th career victory – MI Sports Now
8. GIRLS SOCCER Hamilton advanced in the Ottawa-Kent Conference Blue Tournament with a 2-1 win over Fruitport – Holland Sentinel
9. GIRLS SOCCER Division 3 No. 11 Big Rapids moved on to the Central State Activities Association Tournament title game with a big win over Fremont – Big Rapids Pioneer
10. SOFTBALL Cheboygan can clinch the Straits Area Conference title outright Friday after sweeping St. Ignace – Cheboygan Daily Tribune
