2. Boys Tennis: For the second straight season, Lower Peninsula Division 2 No. 2 Midland Dow swept every flight in winning the Saginaw Valley League tournament; the title was Dow’s 12th straight – Midland Daily News
3. Girls Swimming & Diving: LPD1 No. 5 Holland West Ottawa upset No. 4 Rockford 165-150 – Holland Sentinel
4. Volleyball: Unionville-Sebewaing came back from two sets down to upset Class C No. 5 Cass City and avenge an earlier loss – Huron Daily Tribune
5. Girls Swimming & Diving: LPD1 No. 2 Saline posted an impressive 120-66 victory over LPD2 No. 3 Dexter – Saline Post
6. Cross Country: The Houghton boys (UPD1 No. 1) and Chassell girls (UPD3 No. 1) continued pulling away from the pack with championships at the Houghton Invitational – Houghton Daily Mining Gazette
7. Boys Tennis: Traverse City Central claimed its 11th straight Big North Conference championship with a league tournament win – Traverse City Record-Eagle
8. Girls Golf: Portland claimed a share of its second Capital Area Activities Conference White championship ever with its first league tournament win – Ionia Sentinel-Standard
9. Volleyball: In a preview of possible Class B District matchups, honorable mention Spring Lake downed Whitehall and honorable mention Fruitport in a tri-meet – Grand Haven Tribune
10. Volleyball: Rochester Adams finished its Oakland Activities Association White outright championship with a sweep of West Bloomfield – Oakland Press

Today's action in softball, baseball and girls soccer kicks off the final week of this school year, and below are a few stories of interest we found to serve as appetizers as we get into our final championships runs of 2015-16.

Earlier this season we recognized Farmington Hills Mercy’s Abby Krzywiecki with a “Performance of the Week,” and the impressive senior has continued to shine as she’s set the MHSAA single-season home runs record with 20 while helping her team into this week – Oakland Press
With the help of community and propped up by internal strength, the Heck family of Marine City is coming back strong after a tough senior year for son Mike, who missed the entire football season after ankle surgery a month before his dad Mike Sr. suffered a stroke from which he’s still recovering. Mike Jr. did make it back to slug his way through this spring’s baseball season – Port Huron Times Herald
Traverse City West will play this week in its first Quarterfinal ever (and first for any Traverse City Class A school, including the former Traverse City High) after upsetting Bay City Western in the Regional – Traverse City Record-Eagle
