Snow slowed some of the action across the state Tuesday, but there were a number of notable results to report including a couple of comeback finishes.

Boys Basketball

Belleville came back from five down after the third quarter to score 29 points during the fourth and beat Ann Arbor Pioneer 61-55 – Ann Arbor News

St. Clair trailed Port Huron by seven at halftime but came back to remain undefeated with a 59-39 win – Port Huron Times Herald

Benton Harbor also remained undefeated, posting a 55-45 win over Battle Creek Central – St. Joseph Herald-Palladium

Carson Barr tied a school record with 12 free throws as Temperance Bedford handed Ypsilanti Lincoln its first loss, 82-69 – Monroe Evening News

Walled Lake Western came back from its first loss to down much-improved Walled Lake Northern 57-50 in overtime – Oakland Press

Paw Paw handed Sturgis its first loss of the season 52-41 after starting with a 13-4 run – Sturgis Journal

Girls Basketball

Holland Calvary came back from six points down during the fourth quarter to down Holland Black River 49-46 in double overtime – Holland Sentinel

From Monday, Taylor Bryant tied a Newberry school record with 15 field goals and had 35 points total in a win over Brimley – Sault Ste. Marie Evening News

1. TRACK & FIELD The Detroit Renaissance girls and Martin Luther King boys won Detroit Public Schools League meet championships – Detroit News

2. TRACK & FIELD Clare swept the MITCA Division 3 “team” state championships; both teams entered the meet top ranked in the division – Mount Pleasant Morning Sun

3. TRACK & FIELD The Rochester Adams boys and Walled Lake Central girls won Oakland County championships – MLive-Detroit

4. BASEBALL Dexter downed Monroe 8-4 to clinch the Southeastern Conference Red title – Ann Arbor News

5. TRACK & FIELD The Athens (D4 No. 2) and Rockford girls (D1 No. 2), Zeeland East girls (D2 No. 1) and Zeeland West boys (D1 No. 3), White Cloud boys (D4 No. 1) and Frankenmuth boys (D2 No. 1) were also MITCA champions – Coldwater Daily Reporter | Holland Sentinel | Saginaw News | MITCA

6. GIRLS SOCCER Traverse City West advanced in its Division 1 District with a 4-1 win over Midland – Traverse City Record-Eagle

7. BOYS LACROSSE No. 7 Traverse City United advanced to a Division 1 Regional Final with a 21-6 win over Grand Blanc – Up North Live

8. BASEBALL Division 3 No. 6 New Lothrop swept No. 17 Hudson 5-2 and 8-4 – Owosso Argus-Press

9. BASEBALL Division 4 top-ranked Beal City and Division 3 No. 17 Hudson split, the Aggies winning the opener and the Tigers the second game to break Beal City’s 19-game winning streak – MI Sports Now
