Boys Basketball
In a Monday matchup of unbeaten teams, Lake Linden-Hubbell got past Chassell 65-48 with a pair of players combining to score 52 of those points – Houghton Daily Mining Gazette
Bowling
From Sunday, Jackson’s girls won the Battle of the Baker tournament at M-66 Bowl in Battle Creek, beating Hartland 2-0 in the final match – Jackson Citizen-Patriot
From Saturday, Grand Haven’s teams swept the Fruitport Invitational after both qualified third to start the event but dominated the Baker games – Grand Haven Tribune
Skiing
The season got off to a late start, but there’s plenty of snow now and the Harbor Springs girls took advantage by winning the opening Grayling Invitational at Schuss Mountain – Petoskey News

This fall, Plymouth fifth-grader Connor “Sunshine” Sherman, with the help of the Plymouth High football program, put on the second Sunshine’s Skills and Drills Football Clinic for children with special needs. A mostly quiet Monday across Michigan still had loud newsmakers, as a matchup of 2019 girls basketball champions, a league title clinched, a hockey upset and a 1,000-point scorer led the way.
1. Girls Basketball: Reigning Division 2 champion Detroit Edison defeated reigning Division 4 champion Adrian Lenawee Christian 67-62 – Adrian Daily Telegram
2. Girls Basketball: Camden-Frontier earned a share of the Southern Central Athletic Association East title with a 56-46 win over Pittsford – Hillsdale Daily News
3. Hockey: Clarkston downed Division 1 No. 5 Macomb Dakota 5-1 in the OAA/MAC Showcase – Macomb Daily
4. Girls Basketball: Emma Anderson went over 1,000 career points in helping Menominee past Kingsford 61-53 – Iron Mountain Daily News
5. Girls Basketball: Deckerville extended its winning streak to 13 with a 67-47 win over Dryden – Huron Daily Tribune
