The winter sports season is underway on the hockey rink, and in addition to coverage of Tuesday games we’ve got the awarding of a top football player and reorganization of an east-side league.

CONFERENCE REALIGNMENT Menominee, Gladstone and Kingsford will be joining the Western Peninsula Athletic Conference for football in 2023, with changes to include a halt to the football rivalry between Menominee and Escanaba that dates to 1897 – Escanaba Daily Press
