Girls Basketball
Watersmeet is mourning the loss of former girls basketball coach Norm Ellenberger, who led the program the last four seasons – after a career that took him to the NCAA Tournament, NBA and WNBA before bringing him to this Class D school – Ironwood Daily Globe
Football
Good Morning America visited Benton Harbor High School on Monday to surprise football coach Elliot Uzelac and award the school $10,000 for a scholarship in his name – and give his players an expenses-paid trip to Disney World as part of its “Thank You America” series – Good Morning America

2. VOLLEYBALL Lake City and honorable mention McBain swept their Division 3 District opponents to line up a Thursday championship match – Cadillac News
3. VOLLEYBALL Pellston will return to the Division 4 District Finals after a sweep of Cedarville – Petoskey News-Review
4. VOLLEYBALL Grand Blanc advanced in Division 1 with a four-set win over Lapeer – WJRT
5. VOLLEYBALL Traverse City St. Francis opened Division 3 District play with a sweep of Benzie Central – Traverse City Record-Eagle
6. VOLLEYBALL Honorable mention Saline opened Division 1 play with a sweep of Wayne Memorial – Saline Post
7. VOLLEYBALL Dexter also opened Division 1 play with a sweep against Jackson – Chelsea Sun Times News
8. VOLLEYBALL Muskegon Catholic Central advanced in Division 4 with a sweep of Fruitport Calvary Christian – Local Sports Journal
