In a rematch of a 2015 Class A Quarterfinal, Waterford Kettering emerged as the victor this time over two-time reigning champion Bloomfield Hills Marian – Oakland Press
Potential Class C contender Kent City downed expected Class A contender Muskegon 59-58 as the teams traded last-second baskets – Muskegon Chronicle
Manistee held off a comeback attempt by Traverse City St. Francis for a key 51-43 early-season victory in a meeting of top northern Lower Peninsula programs – Manistee News Advocate

1. VOLLEYBALL Hartland defeated Fenton in four sets in Division 1 to claim its first District championship in this sport since 1979 – Livingston Daily Press & Argus
2. VOLLEYBALL Honorable mention Grand Haven ran its District title streak to 17 with a win over honorable mention Muskegon Mona Shores in Division 1 – Grand Haven Tribune
3. VOLLEYBALL No. 2 Mendon swept No. 8 Colon to clinch a Division 4 District title – Sturgis Journal
4. VOLLEYBALL Top-ranked Hudsonville swept No. 10 Jenison to claim a third-straight District championship in Division 1 – FOX 17
5. VOLLEYBALL Honorable mention Bronson clinched its 10th-straight District title, sweeping Centreville in Division 3 – Sturgis Journal
