Girls basketball season tipped off Monday and today’s list is dominated by hoops, led by a last-second game-winning shot in the northern Lower Peninsula.

Early-season meetings in wrestling and girls basketball Wednesday may have foreshadowed significant rematches to come, and a multi-sport star from White Pigeon became her school’s all-time leading hoops scorer.
