The last “quiet” night of this winter season still saw a couple of key girls basketball matchups, impacting both peninsulas, as the rest of schools not yet in session prepare to resume next week. 

Each weekday during the school year, we’ll gather and post media links covering the most significant and intriguing high school events from all over the state.

Norway scored the go-ahead points with 56 seconds to play to get past Ishpeming 44-42 in a matchup of undefeated teams – Marquette Mining Journal 

Southfield Arts & Technology broke away during the second quarter to hand Clarkston its first loss, 64-48 – Oakland Press

4. CROSS COUNTRY The Hartland and Reed City girls and Midland and Mount Pleasant Sacred Heart boys won Mount Pleasant Oiler Invitational races – Athletic.net
