The last “quiet” night of this winter season still saw a couple of key girls basketball matchups, impacting both peninsulas, as the rest of schools not yet in session prepare to resume next week.

Girls basketball dominated Wednesday’s headlines with a scoring milestone and multiple matchups of ranked teams, plus a halfcourt winner.
