Basketball quickly has raced into full swing across the state, with a pair of standouts celebrating milestone scoring achievements Tuesday and girls basketball performances dominating the top of our top 10 list of daily coverage from across Michigan.

1. Girls Basketball: Byron not only picked up an impressive 48-40 win over annual power St. Ignace, but Sarah Marvin went over 1,000 career points in the victory – Owosso Argus-Press

2. Girls Basketball: Detroit Edison opened with a 65-49 win over Bloomfield Hills Marian – Detroit News

3. Girls Basketball: Reagan Thorr went over 1,000 career points in Frankfort’s 51-29 win over Onekama – Traverse City Record-Eagle

4. Girls Basketball: Shea Tripp did a lot of everything, tallying a quadruple-double in Michigan Center’s big win over Manchester – Jackson Citizen Patriot

3. BOYS GOLF Bay City Western carded a tournament-record 292 to win the Bay County Championship – Bay City Times

4. TRACK & FIELD Battle Creek Harper Creek swept girls and boys LPD2 Regional titles; Harper Creek’s boys are ranked No. 1 – Battle Creek Enquirer

5. TRACK & FIELD Dearborn Divine Child’s girls and boys also swept LPD2 Regional championships – Dearborn Press & Guide

6. TRACK & FIELD The host Romeo girls and Macomb Dakota boys were LPD1 Regional champs – Macomb Daily Girls | Boys

7. BOYS GOLF Muskegon Mona Shores and LPD3 No. 3 Grosse Ile shot matching two-day scores of 644 to top the leaderboard at the Katke Invitational – Local Sports Journal

8. GIRLS SOCCER Big Rapids repeated as Central State Activities Association Tournament champion with a 6-2 win over Howard City Tri County – MI Sports Now
