Boys basketball teams across the state moved into Regionals on Monday, while the state’s leading girls basketball scorer this season finished her career with Michigan’s most prestigious individual award.

Macomb Dakota scored with six seconds left in double overtime to get past Clarkston 68-66 in Class A – Macomb Dakota

Lansing Everett trailed by 12 heading into the fourth quarter against Kalamazoo Central, but scored 30 points in the final period to win in Class A, 56-49 – Kalamazoo Gazette

Also in Class A, Muskegon won a matchup of arguably the two best teams from the state’s west side, getting past Grand Rapids Christian 64-53 – Muskegon Chronicle

Williamston eliminated reigning Class B champion Wyoming Godwin Heights, 57-55 in overtime – Lansing State Journal

Ithaca set a single-season record with its 22nd win in a 79-60 Class C victory over Millington – Mount Pleasant Morning Sun

Girls Basketball

Benton Harbor’s Kysre Gondrezick made headlines all season with incredible scoring totals, and capped her high school career by winning the Miss Basketball Award – Detroit Free Press

1. GIRLS BASKETBALL Indya Davis went over 1,000 career points and West Bloomfield defeated Salem 67-27 in a rematch of last season’s Division 1 Semifinal, this time in the KLAA/OAA Challenge – Oakland Press

2. HOCKEY Division 3 No. 10 Sault Ste. Marie returned home with a 2-1 win over Division 2 No. 8 Traverse City Central – Up North Live

3. BOYS BASKETBALL David Chamberlain went over 1,000 career points as Harbor Light Christian defeated Mackinaw City 52-39 – Petoskey News-Review

4. BOYS BASKETBALL Austin Veal also went over 1,000 career points in Onaway’s 85-51 win over Johannesburg-Lewiston – Cheboygan Daily Tribune

5. HOCKEY Division 2 No. 3 Trenton opened an early lead on the way to a 4-1 win over Riverview Gabriel Richard – Southgate News-Herald

6. BOYS BASKETBALL David Shillinger tied Ludington’s school record with 45 points in a 64-56 win over Muskegon Oakridge – Ludington Daily News

7. BOYS BASKETBALL Camden Thompson had a triple-double in Whitehall’s 66-35 win over Montague – Local Sports Journal

8. BOYS BASKETBALL Greg Lawson II scored 44 points as Davison downed Detroit University Prep 89-82 – WJRT
