The final weekend of this girls basketball season saw two new champions and two of Michigan's most established programs leave the Breslin Center with 2016-17 MHSAA titles.
Girls Basketball
Class A: Flushing entered the postseason unranked but ended as No. 1 in Class A with a Finals victory over East Kentwood – Second Half
Class B: Detroit Country Day won its second title in three seasons to celebrate coach Frank Orlando's 50th season as a high school coach – Second Half
Class C: Detroit Edison Public School Academy finished a run that included its first District title and set the stage for a repeat or two over the next few seasons – Second Half
Class D: Pittsford completed a second straight perfect season and a four-year run of 103-2 – Second Half

4. BOYS SOCCER No. 4 Allendale downed No. 9 Hudsonville Unity Christian 1-0 in Division 2 – FOX 17
5. CROSS COUNTRY The Brighton girls – No. 5 in Lower Peninsula Division 1 – and top-ranked Northville boys clinched Kensington Lakes Activities Association championships – Livingston Daily Press & Argus | Hometown Life
6. VOLLEYBALL Big Rapids Crossroads Academy clinched its first West Michigan D League title since 2015 with a sweep of Bear Lake – Big Rapids Pioneer
7. CROSS COUNTRY Brownstown Woodhaven’s girls and boys teams clinched Downriver League titles – Southgate News-Herald
8. CROSS COUNTRY The LPD1 No. 2 Holland West Ottawa girls and No. 6 Grand Haven boys clinched Ottawa-Kent Conference Red titles – Holland Sentinel
9. CROSS COUNTRY The LPD2 No. 9 Adrian girls and Pinckney boys won Southeastern Conference White championships – Livingston Daily Press & Argus
10. BOYS SOCCER No. 10 Elk Rapids downed No. 12 Traverse City St. Francis 2-1 to clinch a Division 3 District title – MI Sports Now
