The final four Semifinals of this girls soccer season produced the four contenders for Division 1 and 4 titles Wednesday as the final weekend of 2016-17 was set to begin.
Girls Soccer
Division 1: Freshman Faith Webber scored both goals as Grand Blanc downed Utica Ford 2-1 – Detroit News
Division 1: Grand Rapids Forest Hills Central scored the lone goal against Saline minutes before halftime and made it stand for a 1-0 win – Grand Rapids Press
Division 4: After falling to Grosse Pointe Woods University Liggett in a Semifinal last season, Lansing Christian won the rematch 2-0 – Lansing State Journal
Division 4: Kalamazoo Christian downed Muskegon Catholic Central 2-0 to advance to the Finals for the first time since 2008 – Kalamazoo Gazette

2. GIRLS TENNIS No. 2 Birmingham Seaholm was first and No. 10 North Farmington second at their LPD2 Regional – Detroit Free Press
3. BOYS GOLF Bay City Western carded a tournament-record 292 to win the Bay County Championship – Bay City Times
4. TRACK & FIELD Battle Creek Harper Creek swept girls and boys LPD2 Regional titles; Harper Creek’s boys are ranked No. 1 – Battle Creek Enquirer
5. TRACK & FIELD Dearborn Divine Child’s girls and boys also swept LPD2 Regional championships – Dearborn Press & Guide
6. TRACK & FIELD The host Romeo girls and Macomb Dakota boys were LPD1 Regional champs – Macomb Daily Girls | Boys
7. BOYS GOLF Muskegon Mona Shores and LPD3 No. 3 Grosse Ile shot matching two-day scores of 644 to top the leaderboard at the Katke Invitational – Local Sports Journal
8. GIRLS SOCCER Big Rapids repeated as Central State Activities Association Tournament champion with a 6-2 win over Howard City Tri County – MI Sports Now
9. GIRLS SOCCER Division 2 No. 2 Bloomfield Hills Marian, Division 4 No. 2 Royal Oak Shrine Catholic and Allen Park Cabrini clinched Catholic High School League tournament titles – Oakland Press (Marian) | Oakland Press (Shrine) | Southgate News-Herald (Cabrini)
10. BASEBALL Division 1 No. 1 Bay City Western defeated a No. 12 Novi in a Rockford Invitational matchup that paired two of the state’s top pitchers – Bay City Times
