3. BOYS SOCCER Reigning Division 1 champion Rochester Adams opened with a 2-0 victory over Lake Orion – Oakland Press
4. BOYS SOCCER Clarkston edged Grand Blanc 3-2 as the latter opened its new facility – WJRT
5. BOYS SOCCER Cheboygan opened with a 5-0 win over Shepherd, with three goals from Killian Miller in his first varsity game – Cheboygan Daily Tribune
6. GIRLS TENNIS Negaunee earned its second shutout of opening week, this time over Ishpeming Westwood – Marquette Mining Journal
7. BOYS SOCCER Liam Smith scored four goals in Muskegon Reeths-Puffer’s opening win over Ludington – MuskegonSports.com
8. BOYS SOCCER Unionville-Sebewaing’s Brady Wiederhold and Bad Axe’s Landon Galarno both had hat tricks in their teams’ season-opening wins – Huron Daily Tribune
