4. BOYS TENNIS Holland West Ottawa – No. 7 in Lower Peninsula Division 1 – defeated LPD3 No. 5 Holland Christian, Holland High and Zeeland West at its home quad – Holland Sentinel

5. CROSS COUNTRY The Goodrich girls and Canton boys won Northwood Invitational championships – Midland Daily News | Athletic.net

Basketball quickly has raced into full swing across the state, with a pair of standouts celebrating milestone scoring achievements Tuesday and girls basketball performances dominating the top of our top 10 list of daily coverage from across Michigan.

1. Girls Basketball: Byron not only picked up an impressive 48-40 win over annual power St. Ignace, but Sarah Marvin went over 1,000 career points in the victory – Owosso Argus-Press
