The top runners in Michigan were among those who separated themselves from the field over the weekend, as a pair of familiar champions won the biggest races so far in cross country.

Arguably the most anticipated regular-season event, the Spartan Invitational at Michigan State, saw Corunna’s Noah Jacobs and Battle Creek Lakeview’s Megan Farrell continue dominating falls with individual wins in the “elite” races –
