At least six days a week and occasionally seven, officials all over Michigan suit up to manage our competitions.They do so mostly under the radar, as is the goal.
The Port Huron Times Herald's Joseph Hayes shines a small spotlight on this key part of making our games go. He took us inside the workings of an experienced football crew from that corner of the state, led by Marysville's Joe Venia.

2. CROSS COUNTRY The Tecumseh girls and Brownstown Woodhaven boys won Downriver Watermelon Run championships – Athletic.net | Southgate News-Herald
3. CROSS COUNTRY Traverse City St. Francis swept big-school titles at the East Jordan Red Devil Invitational, and the Harbor Springs girls and Johannesburg-Lewiston boys won small-school championships – Athletic.net | Cheboygan Daily Tribune
4. GIRLS SWIMMING & DIVING Ludington edged Gaylord 92-84 in a dual – Ludington Daily News
