This Week in High School Sports: 11/6/18

November 6, 2018

This week's show features newly-crowned MHSAA three-time Cross Country Finals champions Adelyn Ackley and Yami Albrecht. Game balls go to Detroit Country Day soccer's Jon Dougherty and Hudsonville Unity Christian soccer's Kadin Shaban. Seven-person football officiating crews are the topic of "Be The Referee," and the show wraps up talking about Michigan International Speedway, the site of the Lower Peninsula cross country championship races.

The 5-minute program, powered by MI Student Aid, leads off each week with feature stories from around the state from the MHSAA’s Second Half or network affiliates. "Be The Referee," a 60-second look at the fine art of officiating, comes in the middle of the show and is followed by a closing MHSAA "Perspective."
