High 5s: 11/21/12

With the Thanksgiving holiday mid-week and nearly every fall sport done, we'll give out just one High 5 today. But it goes to a team that's been among the elite for half a decade and could be just getting started.

Holland swimming and diving

The Dutch scored 311.5 points to defeat runner-up Ann Arbor Skyline by 56 at the Lower Peninsula Division 2 Final at Oakland University. Holland totaled seven first-place finishes, including winning all three relays. It was the second-straight championship for the Dutch, who finished LP Division 2 runners-up from 2008-10.

7. GIRLS BASKETBALL Erie Mason came back from a 10-point fourth-quarter deficit to defeat Petersburg Summerfield 53-47 – Monroe News

8. GIRLS BASKETBALL Freeland’s Karie Keefer scored at the buzzer to give the Falcons a 44-42 win over Heritage – Saginaw News

9. BOYS BASKETBALL Boden Fernsler drilled the winning 3-pointer with three seconds to play in Novi’s 52-49 win over South Lyon East – Oakland Press

10. BOYS BASKETBALL Grade Anspach’s only points also came on a game-winning 3-pointer as Fruitport downed Comstock Park 53-52 – Local Sports Journal
