3. VOLLEYBALL No. 4 Rockford advanced to next week’s Division 1 Quarterfinals with a sweep of No. 6 Grand Rapids Forest Hills Central – FOX 17
4. VOLLEYBALL After defeating No. 4 Bronson in the Regional Semifinal, Watervliet finished a Regional title run with a win over honorable mention Kalamazoo Christian – WWMT
5. VOLLEYBALL No. 9 Reese came back after losing the first set to defeat No. 8 Cass City 3-2 in Division 3 – Saginaw News
6. VOLLEYBALL Indian River Inland Lakes claimed its first Regional title since 1995 with a 3-1 win over Rudyard in Division 4 – Cheboygan Daily Tribune

8. VOLLEYBALL Allen Park Inter-City Baptist avenged its pair of regular-season losses to No. 8 Plymouth Christian Academy with a four-set Division 4 Regional Final win – Southgate News-Herald

Performance of the Week: Detroit Cass Tech's Stevie Hall

The 6-foot-2 guard scored the game-winning basket in Detroit Cass Tech's 54-52 victory over Cleveland Central Catholic during the Dec. 29 Detroit Public School League Holiday Classic. He also went over 1,000 career points during that game, which he finished with 32 points, seven assists and five steals as the Technicians broke a two-game losing streak.
Hall followed that milestone a day later with 31 points in Cass Tech's 82-42 win over Macomb L'Anse Creuse North at the Motor City Roundball Classic at Ferndale, a win that gave his father and coach Steve Hall 200 leading the Technicians boys basketball program. Stevie Hall – who already has received several Division I college basketball offers – has scored 30 more more points in six straight games, and Cass Tech is 5-3.
