There wasn’t a lot of scoring, but the first day of the MHSAA Girls Soccer Finals at Old College Field produced a lot of excitement.

Division 1
Rochester Hills Stoney Creek 1, Canton 0
Cougars Convert PK - The only goal of the Division 1 Final between Rochester Hills Stoney Creek and Canton came on this penalty kick with 10:56 left in the game by Stoney Creek's Emily Solek.
Division 4
Grosse Pointe Woods University Liggett 1, Montrose 0 (OT-Shootout)
Dangerous Corner Headed Away - In the second half, Montrose had an opportunity on a corner kick headed away by Teagan Cornell of Grosse Pointe Woods University Liggett.
Right On Rush - In overtime, Grosse Pointe Woods University Liggett had a great scoring opportunity on a free kick by Kate Birgbauer, but Montrose keeper Alexis Rush was up to the task and stopped the shot.

► Mason's Cason Carswell finds Dylan Badgley for the game-winning score with 10 seconds to play in a 20-17 win over Bloomfield Hills Brother Rice.
► Jason Skoczylas blocks a Detroit Country Day game-winning field goal attempt and then returns it 50 yards for a game-winning touchdown as Chelsea defeated the Yellowjackets 27-20.
► Sterling Heights Stevenson's Jordan Ramsey returns the fumble 90 yards for a touchdown in a 27-20 win over Macomb Dakota.
► Griffin Henke scores from one yard out for Rochester Adams as it edged reigning Division 1 champion West Bloomfield, 14-13.
► Suttons Bay's Shawn Bramer finishes the hook-and-ladder for a 69-yard game-tying score as his team went on to defeat Rudyard 42-36 in overtime.
