Key Gridiron Games Set to Stream

September 28, 2016

By John Johnson
MHSAA Communications Director

There are a number of football games this Friday with live streaming video on MHSAA.tv being produced by members of the School Broadcast Program.

Starting to the North – Calumet (4-0 league, 4-1 overall) hosts Iron River West Iron County (2-1, 3-2) in a West PAC game as the Copper Kings seek to stay on top. In the Saginaw Valley League, Davison (3-0, 4-1) hosts Midland (3-0, 3-2) in a game that will break up some of the three-top logjam with Lapeer. In the Genesee Athletic Conference Red, Montrose (3-1, 3-2) welcomes Corunna (3-0, 5-0) as it seeks to stay relevant in that division. To the west in the O-K Conference Red, Rockford (2-0, 3-2) hosts Grandville (3-0, 5-0) with the top spot on the line. All of these games start at 7 p.m.

In its eighth year, the School Broadcast Program gives members an opportunity to showcase excellence in their schools by creating video programming of athletic and non-athletic events with students gaining skills in announcing, camera operation, directing/producing and graphics.

The program also gives schools the opportunity to raise money through advertising and viewing subscriptions.

All sporting events – live or delayed - are available on a subscription basis only for their first 72 hours online.  They become available for free, on-demand viewing approximately 72 hours following their completion.
