Cross Country
The Sault Ste. Marie girls opened their season by winning the Ogemaw Heights Invitational, with sophomore Mackenzie Kalchik repeating as individual champ – Sault Ste. Marie Evening News
German exchange student Rebecca Rosenberger has run four cross country races in her life – and won two of them – Adrian Daily Telegram
Boys Tennis
Traverse City Central defeated a solid field at its home invitational, winning all four doubles flights and finishing runner-up at all four in singles to edge second-place Clarkston – Traverse City Record-Eagle

1. WRESTLING Imlay City clinched its first Regional title in this sport with a 37-31 win over No. 5 Richmond in Division 3 – Macomb Daily
2. WRESTLING No. 3 St. Louis downed Evart and Hesperia in Division 4 to claim its first Regional title since 1995 – Mount Pleasant Morning Sun
3. WRESTLING No. 9 St. Joseph won its first Regional championship in this sport with victories over Plainwell and Edwardsburg in Division 2 – St. Joseph Herald-Palladium
4. WRESTLING No. 4 Gaylord edged No. 10 Bay City John Glenn 34-29 to earn a return to the Division 2 Quarterfinals – Petoskey News-Review
5. HOCKEY No. 8 Midland Dow downed Davison 7-0 to clinch a share of the Saginaw Valley League title with Flint Powers Catholic, which defeated Midland – WJRT
6. GYMNASTICS Jackson Area finished first and Coldwater second at the South Central Gymnastics League championship meet – Coldwater Daily Reporter
7. WRESTLING No. 5 Bronson defeated No. 4 Union City and Springport to win a Division 4 Regional championship – Coldwater Daily Reporter
8. BOWLING Whitehall swept Greater Muskegon Athletic Association team championships – Local Sports Journal
9. WRESTLING No. 2 New Lothrop won its state-best 22nd-straight Regional championship, advancing in Division 4 – Owosso Argus-Press
10. WRESTLING Hartland won its 21st-consecutive Regional title with its third shutout in three postseason Division 1 matches – Livingston Daily Press & Argus
