Perfect dozen (Birmingham Observer & Eccentric)

June 4, 2012

We've recognized the named "Kelly Lunghamer" for a while now, which makes sense. The Bloomfield Hills Marian senior just finished her high school career with 12 varsity letters -- and 12 appearances in MHSAA Finals.

A tennis player, skier and golfer, Lunghamer might not be the first to accomplish the latter feat. But she's certainly one of only a few. And as for the 12 letters, she's only the second at her school to earn that many, joining her older sister Kristin.

The Observer and Eccentric's Marty Budner explains how she's been able to accomplish so much during a full high school career.

Letter perfect: Lunghamer leaves rare legacy
